Adding value to healthcare – High Tech Campus Eindhoven

The Health Tech Event was organized in collaboration with EIT ICT Labs and High Tech Campus Eindhoven. Connected devices in the hospital and at home, robotic telemedicine, nanotube sensors; the health care industry is rising in a high-speed tempo. How can technology benefit healthcare? What is the current status? And what developments can we expect in the near future? The Health Tech Event is set-up around these kind of questions. It offers an open atmosphere for both health and tech professionals to meet, learn and explore the crossroads of science, technology and business in med-tech and sensors. Marieke van Dijk and Johannes van den Eerenbeemt facilitated an inspiring workshop about how to add value to healthcare. The challenge for the attendees: Design a healthcare service that can play a truly relevant role in people’s lives. In two groups attendees of the Health Tech Event joined a hands-on Co-Creation Session and discovered the value of Service Design Thinking tools and mindset for Healthcare. During the 90 minutes workshop a lot of great ideas were generated that led to the prototype of two startups, one focussed on commerce and one focussing on empathy.
